:: Time To Catch Up
Posted on June 27, 2008

I know we aren’t really ones to keep everyone as up to date with our goings on as we should. Time constraints, priorities, even the dreaded laziness are factors that unfortunately keep us from keeping in touch. Luckily, we see a lot of you guys regularly–or not so regularly–so we get time to talk and just let you know what’s going on with us. Unfortunately, there are some of you from out of town, or even about town, that we don’t get to see very often. And its for you that I’m writing this blog. (What a stupid word…”blog”….it’s the sound people make when they puke. BLLOGGGGGGGHHHHuhhhhh

Ok. So first of all, I want to welcome our new bassist, Josh Mondragon. He’s been practicing with us for a couple of weeks now and he’s fitting in quite nicely. Add him to your friends list and tell him how awesome he is: J-Money.
Secondly, our new album, The Optimist’s Handgun was released on Saturday, June 21st at Telos House on UNM Campus. And if you were not there and you live in Albuquerque….well I just don’t know what to say to you. Maybe I’ll punch you in the chest next time I see you.

Next! We’re on this compilation called The After After Party. It’s a compilation that will be handed out at participating McDonalds and they’ll be playing our music at those McDonalds too. So if you’re out late and after a show you’re like, “dude…I’m hungry,” go to McDonalds and pick up the CD! There’s a bunch of other artists on there like Soular, Eyes Set To Kill, Ill Nino, Wicked Wisdom. Check out the website at www.theafterafterparty.com. Oh yeah! And you know those digital billboards all over Albuquerque? Yeah, we were on those for a week earlier this month! Crazy, huh? So definitely get your hands on one of these compilation CDs.

Odds & Ends: We’re booking a tour so if you want us in your town, let us know where to play. If you’re super cool, you can book the show for us and we’ll get you free crap. (Not literally..that would be gross and mean). Also, I’m figuring out how to re-design our MySpace profile, so if things get to looking kind of crazy, it’s my fault. Ok I’m gonna go eat breakfast now. Wish us luck–we’re all unemployed and doing this Hit By A Bus thing full time! Holy moly!!

Love you all like a distant cousin,

Gio !!
